Let the Gains Begin (I John 5:1-5)
Sunday, December 9, 2018
While this is God's world, it is currently under the sway of evil. It doesn't want us to tell people about Jesus. We must fight the influence of the world or we will become ineffectual for God. We must understand and communicate that what we gain through faith in Christ outweighs anything we might gain from the world.

There are a lot of things that we believe without thinking them through – and which turn out to be false. How do we know what is actually true? Just like us, the people of New Testament times were facing this question. The incarnation, death and resurrection of Jesus must be central to any spiritual truth. This gives us assurance that we are following the truth.
