Passionately loving God
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind..." Jesus, Matthew 22:37
We want to grow in love for God by getting to know him better through the Scriptures and life together.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 10:30 to worship and connect with God's presence in our hearts and minds through singing, prayer and interacting with the Scriptures. Music is upbeat and uplifting and messages are relevant to our lives and relationship with God in today's world.
Jesus loved children and so do we! On Sunday mornings at Godzone Kids! children connect with God and his story through fun Bible teaching, games, songs and videos all under the supervision and leadership of experienced and loving teachers.
Do you want to get to know people at church but feel like you’re not
able to really connect on Sunday mornings? The truth is, it’s hard to
experience meaningful relationships and biblical community in a large
group setting like Sunday morning worship gatherings. This is why we
have Life Groups.
Life Groups are small groups of 8-12 people who meet regularly in
order to build meaningfulrelationships, learn about God together and
challenge each other to follow Christ more closely.
Life Group discussion is sermon-based, encouraging everyone to go
deeper into the weekly teaching, and they are the best way to get to
know others and to be known at Covenant.
Most of us need some help and support to live day in a day out with hope and purpose in today's world. Growth Classes provide believers an opportunity to receive instruction in how to grow in their relationship with God, learn practical Christian life skills, and expand their general knowledge God and his plan from the Bible. Topics could include raising children, spiritual disciplines, theology, managing finances, understanding a book of the Bible, building strong relationships, living a healthy lifestyle, developing a prayer life, strengthening your marriage, etc…
Growth Classes meet on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:20.
Currently, the following Growth Classes are offered:
"Improving Your Serve" (by Chuck Swindoll) discussion
"Women in the Bible" study and discussion

Discovering God in the Scriptures
1. Observing the passage: List the persons, places, significant actions, events, and facts you discovered as you studied this passage. Write a one-sentence summary of a key event or concept.
2. Discovering God: What do you learn about God Himself as He interacts (or has interacted) in these circumstances with people in the passage? (God here would refer to Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.) Look to discover who God is, how He works, and what attributes of God and His grace are revealed in the passage.
3. Responding to God:
How has what you learned about God in this passage affected or modified your view of God? (Or what has it reminded you of?)
How does this view of God affect how you view yourself and other people?
In what specific way(s) will this view of God change how you interact with God, yourself and other people?
Personally investing in people
"Love your neighbor as yourself..." Jesus, Matthew 22:39
Our goal is to reach out to our neighbors by showing the love of God in practical ways.
english as a second language
"Never mistreat a foreigner living in your land. 34 Foreigners living among you will be like your own people. Love them as you love yourself, because you were foreigners living in Egypt. I am the Lord your God." Leviticus 19:33-34 (God's Word Version)

Nothing says "Fall" like footba... SOCCER! Every Autumn we host one of the few Upward Soccer leagues in the Columbus area as an outreach to our community. Upward Soccer provides a great opportunity for children in Kindergarten through 6th Grade to enjoy the sport, increase their skills and experience God's great love for them through the coaches, staff and the Scriptures. It's a whole lot of fun!
Registration begins late Spring and evaluations are held in July and August. The season kicks off the weekend after Labor Day and lasts 8 or 9 weeks. Scholarships are available on a need basis.
being a blessing
Our place is your place. At Covenant, we are blessed with plenty of grass, a kid-friendly playground, a few trees and several pic nic tables. When weather permits, on any given evening you'll find an abundance of families enjoying our swings, tables and soccer fields. It is a joy to bless our community by sharing our grounds and all that God has blessed us with.
parents' night out
Around Christmas and Valentine's Day we offer parents in our community the chance to slip out without the kids and do some Christmas shopping, have a date night or just enjoy a little "me" time. Parents can register and drop off their children here at church for a safe, secure and FUN evening.
annual yard sale
Every summer, usually in August, we host a big time yard sale. All our neighbors are invited to get rid of the "extras" lying around their house or apartment by donating to the yard sale. We'll even arrange for pick up if necessary! The day of offers an occasion to connect with people, make new friends and some pretty decent deals on many good household items. (A word of caution, though: Ask Pastor Deas about having sold a customer's bike!)
Our building is available on a limited basis as a community resource.
